REBUILDING REENTRY
INNOVATION LAB FOR PRISON REENTRY:
Technology for social good. Impact through coalition. Stories igniting empathy.

As director of Impact Hub DC, I worked with the brilliant leadership of Mission: Launch, to create the thriving community innovation coalition: "Rebuilding Reentry"- which is igniting a growing national movement of people and organizations innovating solutions to challenges faced by people returning from serving correctional sentences.

Modeled on the Social Labs methodology, Rebuilding Reentry just completed its third major hack-a-thon, is expanding nationally through partner cities like Baltimore, and has received a sizable SBA award at the Whitehouse.

Driven by a strong belief that deep and lasting social innovation is a holistic community act, I helped bring together key players into this collective and continual innovation effort; this included the DC Governement, the technology, social services, legal, policy and social impact communities, and most importantly returning citizens and their advocates.
